Privacy Policy

This page explains what information DealToDriver collects when you use this site, request a quote, or pay a fee — and what happens to it afterward.

01

Who This Covers

DealToDriver is a one-person consulting practice run by Jay. This policy explains what dealtodriver.com and the tools behind it collect when you request a quote, pay a fee, or receive a follow-up email, and what happens to that information afterward.

02

Information You Give Us Directly

When you submit the intake form — name, phone, email, the car you're considering, whether you're buying new, buying used, or leasing, and any optional notes — that information goes to Jay directly and is used to research your deal, negotiate on your behalf, and follow up by phone, text, or email. When you pay the $100 start fee or the $595 delivery fee, payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card number, expiration date, and CVC are entered on Stripe's servers and never touch DealToDriver's site or database.

03

Information Collected Automatically

When you check the agreement box on the payment page, before you pay, the page name and timestamp are logged along with your IP address and browser user-agent — this documents that you saw and accepted the Terms of Service before paying, and it's kept as evidence in case of a payment dispute. Separately, the site uses Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and whether specific actions happen (a form submission, a phone-number click, a click of the "Pay $100 to Start" button); this tool does not use cookies. Every page also loads the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), which registers a page view, and a Lead signal is sent when the intake form is submitted successfully — neither of those calls includes your name, phone, or email in the code that sends them. Separately, if Meta's "Automatic Advanced Matching" setting is turned on for this pixel inside Meta's own ad platform (not something controlled by this site's code), Meta's script can independently read the name, phone, and email fields on the intake form, hash them in your browser, and use the hashes to help Meta match your visit to an ad account. Blocking Meta's pixel script (connect.facebook.net) with a browser extension or privacy setting prevents this.

04

Purchase Reporting to Meta

Only after the $100 start fee is actually paid, DealToDriver's server sends Meta a single server-to-server Purchase event through Meta's Conversions API. That event carries a hashed (SHA-256) version of your email, phone, and name — never the plain values — along with the payment amount, currency, and the Stripe checkout session ID. This exists solely to measure whether an ad led to a paying client. It does not run for the $595 delivery fee or for any other payment.

05

Where Your Information Is Stored

Lead and deal information is stored in a private database that only DealToDriver's server can reach — it is never exposed in your browser and never visible to a dealer. It holds what you submitted on the intake form and a record of your deal's status (start fee paid, delivered, and so on) so Jay can track where each engagement stands. A separate record exists purely to prevent the same Stripe payment from being processed twice, and another records anyone who unsubscribes from follow-up email.

06

Emails You Receive

Resend, a transactional email provider, sends an immediate auto-reply after you submit the intake form and a receipt after you pay. If Jay turns on the optional follow-up system, you may also get a check-in a few days after delivery, a request for a review about a month later, and reminders as a lease approaches its end. Every follow-up email of that kind includes a one-click unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops future follow-ups but never affects a receipt for an active payment.

07

Who We Share Information With

Your information is shared only with the service providers that make the above possible, each acting on DealToDriver's instructions: Stripe for payment processing, a private database host for storage, Resend for email delivery, Meta for the pixel and Conversions API described above, and Vercel for site hosting and analytics. DealToDriver does not sell your information and does not hand it to any dealership or lender for their own marketing. A dealer you're matched with sees only what Jay chooses to share to get your deal done — never your contact information for their own outreach.

08

How Long We Keep It

Lead and deal records are kept for as long as needed to service your engagement and to maintain a business record afterward, including as the documentation referenced in the chargeback policy of the Terms of Service. Terms-acceptance logs — IP address, user-agent, timestamp — live in the hosting provider's own server logs under that provider's standard retention window.

09

Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from any follow-up email using the link inside it. You can ask Jay to access, correct, or delete the information DealToDriver holds about you, or to stop the Meta Pixel and Conversions API reporting described above, by emailing contact@dealtodriver.com. You can also block Meta's pixel script or Vercel's analytics script using your own browser's privacy tools — the intake form and payment flow work exactly the same either way.
